SUITE KITCHEN
Designed by HubbHouse, Suite Kitchen transformed a dark, low-ceilinged kitchen and an adjacent underutilized space into a bright, functional kitchen and dining area, while an open plan lower floor was converted into an efficient and stylish primary suite. Years of neglect and undersized structural beams from the home’s original 1950s construction required substantial structural intervention, with roof, wall, and floor systems rebuilt from within the existing envelope to unify the main-floor spaces and allow the ceiling to be vaulted.
Custom cabinetry, an expansive island, and a carefully considered lighting package define the new kitchen, while thoughtful details appear throughout. A built-in banquette anchors the room as a natural gathering point for the family, and a new powder room paired with the floor-separated primary suite allows the home to function comfortably for both daily life and gracious entertaining. The simplicity of the design placed a premium on careful execution, with tight tolerances and close attention to detail throughout.
